Description:
For our client - a technology-focused company is seeking a talented individual to fill the position of Senior Energy Systems Technology Manager within its corporate research department.
REQUIREMENTS:
- PhD or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution required
- Industrial experience in power and energy systems area
- R&D experience in distributed energy resource (DER) integration and management, microgrid, power distribution systems modeling, analysis, monitoring and control, protection, EV charging infrastructure and its grid integration
- Experience in developing and executing EU and German government funded projects to advance research and product development in power and energy systems area very welcome
- Experience on managing lab/experimental infrastructure including both power and control hardware in the loop testing facilities
- Program management - new product development & innovation process
- Communication and presentation skills in English and German (oral and written)
Responsibilities:
- Developing research proposals and obtaining government funding to advance research in the area of Energy Systems as relevant for the company, as well as develop and maintaining relationships with the external technical community.
- Support technology roadmaps and strategies as it relates to European region, as well as developing relationships with Company’s stakeholders (engineering, product lines, government programs)
- Guidance, coaching and development of the technical staff.
- The position will report to the VP Engineering & Technology EMEA and functional to the Global Technology Manage
