Position Title: Senior Technology Specialist, Digital Developer / Senior Full Stack Developer (.NET/React)
Reports To: Senior Technology Manager, Digital IT Savings and Retirement
Department: IT, Savings and Retirement
Term: Permanent Full Time
Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of developers to design and program high-performance, scalable multi-tiered web applications and database solutions
  • Build and support mobile and web applications using React, .NET, and JavaScript
  • Create, recommend, and implement system designs based on long-term IT organization strategy
  • Work closely with business and systems analysts, and QA to develop alternative solutions to meet business needs
  • Help the team succeed by meeting sprint objectives through agile planning and continuous integration/delivery
  • Analyze production system problems and recommend solutions
  • Investigate and solve production problems with minimal to no guidance
  • Research and recommend technologies to the team and management to help keep our tech stack up to date
  • Mentor junior and intermediate team members in good coding practices and new technologies
