To support us in our ongoing transformation work, we have an opportunity for a savvy, technically sound and passionate Test Automation Engineer at a senior level. This Wellington based position is available on an open term basis and is a fantastic opportunity to join our ground-breaking programme of technical work.
Using your proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer, you’ll use SaFe / Devops methodology to test, implement, and support the new Landonline software solution to enhance a world leading product.
As a squad member, you’ll collectively deliver your product and have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the design, creation, testing and maintenance of the product as well as providing fail and fix application support. Our squads are agile, impactful and collaborate effectively and efficiently, thanks to our strong focus on team culture, professional development, and continuous improvement.
At a Senior level, you’ll have the ability to support and lead engineering discussions and with your robust test automation and digital skills, mentor, and coach other squad members. You’ll commit to promoting our culture of collaboration with both your squad members, squad leads, architects, practice leads and our key stakeholders during Programme Increment (PI) planning and during the creation of iteration plans, team PI objectives, release and release planning and product backlog. Helping you to achieve this will be your strong communication skills which will see you influence others in the programme and build a strong consensus behind your ideas and commitments.

If the above roles sound appealing and you feel you have knowledge of a range of software development skills including some of the following:

  • Experience in modern testing practices and test automation
  • Testing web applications and APIs
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and Typescript in NodeJS environment
  • Kotlin or Java and Spring Boot or similar
  • Source control using git and GitHub
  • Experience in common tool chain elements such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions

Experience using AWS CDK or CloudFormation is desirable

  • Containerisation using Docker
  • Spatial skills would be advantageous e.g. GeoServer

….and you have worked in a large, multi-team project, preferably using SAFe/DevOps, with a continuous improvement focused mindset, then we would like to hear from you!
The expected appointment range for this role is between $130,000 - $140,000.
