    Job Description
    Our Customer is a leading force in the renewable energy sector, dedicated to powering homes and businesses with 100% clean energy. Through cutting-edge technology, we manage renewable resources like wind and solar, utilizing innovative data solutions to ensure energy availability when demand peaks.
    We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Test Automation Lead to own and drive the testing capability of a critical project. In this role, you will strategize, develop, and execute a testing framework designed to run hundreds of tests automatically, leveraging customer-centric principles and standardized approaches across all testing levels. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a track record of setting up scalable testing capabilities who thrives in a dynamic, cross-functional, and multinational environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: 10-12 years in Testing, with a strong emphasis on hands-on automation and E2E testing capability.
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced skills in automation, particularly with Selenium using C# or Python. Proficient in Azure DevOps for test management (traceability, test planning, labs, defects).
  • Testing Types Knowledge: Comprehensive experience with multiple testing approaches, including Unit, Smoke, Functional, System, SIT, Integration, Regression, and UAT.
  • Framework Design: Proven experience creating scalable and generic frameworks across multiple teams, with an ability to provide strategic insights based on practical experience.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Demonstrated skills in leading teams, coaching, and enabling best practices in test frameworks.
  • Project Planning & Strategy: Ability to scope and strategize testing, especially for complex systems, with a focus on ensuring quality deliverables within timelines.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder management, coordination skills, and the ability to build collaborative virtual teams.
  • Agile Expertise: Solid experience working within Agile frameworks, with a mindset oriented towards iterative improvement.
  • Adaptability: Proactive and well-organized, with a proven ability to work effectively across different geographies, time zones, and cultures.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and scale end-to-end (E2E) testing frameworks that meet project goals, focusing on automation to run extensive tests expediently.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, developers, business analysts, and design teams to understand requirements, aligning test strategies accordingly.
  • Manage and utilize existing automated testing assets to enhance efficiency and avoid redundant work, leveraging tools across various coding languages.
  • Provide hands-on support for troubleshooting and implementing test frameworks, promoting testing best practices within a geographically dispersed team.
  • Own Test Delivery Assurance, ensuring it aligns with organizational standards, tools, and frameworks.
  • Plan and strategize testing phases, including scope, resource allocation, release, and sprint planning, to achieve quality and timely deliverables.
  • Proactively address and mitigate risks, maintaining an organized and structured approach in an ambiguous environment.
  • Coach team members to strengthen their understanding of test strategy, promoting skills development in automated and manual testing.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for enhanced delivery, including identifying optimization opportunities within the testing workflow.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively across global teams, adapting to cultural and time zone differences.
    Note: this role requires presence in the London office minimum 3 days a week.
