Role overview: We are seeking a skilled Functional Tester with 7 to 12 years of experience in manual and functional testing, particularly in Retail POS applications. The ideal candidate will excel in creating test scenarios and cases, preparing comprehensive test reports, logging defects and preparing detailed test summaries using tools like Jira. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an Agile environment are essential.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Excellent Manual Testing and functional testing skills.
  • Experience in developing use cases, test scenarios, and test cases.
  • Competence in logging defects and preparing test summaries.
  • Excellent understanding of Software Testing and Quality Assurance principles and General Programming Concepts.
  • Nice to have Retail experience and Automation knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and also as part of a Team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Create test scenarios, test cases for testing the functional and non-functional.
  • Prepare the test data for the required type of testing.
  • Create/maintain Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and Collaboration Diagrams, Data flow, and Process Flow Diagrams.
  • Organize standardize Data and Text Analysis.
  • Use agile methodology for managing the SDLC for the project.
  • Defect Logging, Test Summary Preparation, and Test Result Documentation.
