QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Substantial experience in Linux software platforms and Linux applications
  • Deep experience in test automation, preferably with Linux based embedded devices. Our test setup is based on Robot Framework and Python.
  • Self-starter—eager and quick to learn and experiment
  • Demonstrated engineering curiosity and problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written
  • Legally authorized to work in Finland

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Developer experience, especially on Embedded Linux. Desired languages: C and Rust. Our Linux platform is based on Yocto.
  • Working knowledge in tools like Git configuration management
  • Experience with and interest in developing Continuous Integration setups is a bonus
  • Experience with free open source software technologies and practices
  • Experience in a complex system program with multiple processors in data chain
  • Good debugging and problem-solving skills
  • We value experience in device technologies as well as experience in these technologies: embedded systems, wireless technologies, and physiological measurements.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Plan, design, implement, and maintain test automation (both the test setup and the tests themselves) for our Embedded Linux platform used in patient monitoring products.
  • Drive automation of legacy test and verification procedures. Drive excellence and continuous improvement in software development methods and tools
  • Run validation procedures for the Linux Platform components, according to the strict guidelines of the medical industry.
  • Work as an active member of a collaborative and multi-disciplinary agile team
  • Take full responsibility of the software development, including reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Interact seamlessly in a cross-functional, multi-cultural, and global environment
