REQUIREMENTS

• iOS, Android, Charles Proxy, XCUITest or Espresso mobile test automation frameworks

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

You will:

• be an expert in testing native mobile applications
• understand the importance of being an active team member who looks for opportunities to improve the team’s way of working
• have experience with mobile app testing tools such as Charles Proxy
• have experience working with mobile test automation tools and frameworks (either XCUITest or Espresso)
• have experience working in an Agile team
• understand and demonstrate the importance of being an active team member who looks for opportunities to improve ways of working and elevate the testing discipline

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• experience of A/A and A/B experimentation tests
• experience working in two week release cycles
• excellent communication and influencing skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues
• experience or writing testing documentation
• experience of working with and sharing ideas with other testers
• an ability to learn quickly and keep up to date with the latest testing tools and techniques.

EXPERIENCE

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or similar work based experience.
• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer ideally with a focus on media-related projects.
• Very good working knowledge of standard software development frameworks, techniques and methodologies.
• Experience with providing coaching and mentoring
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team, contributing to the development of business scenarios.
• Knowledge of software development tools and technologies.
• You are flexible and curious in your approach
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Tester to work with our media client in Salford testing three of their most exciting mobile application; featuring all the latest cutting edge new stories, all the major sporting stories and one with reliable and accurate weather information.
The team works collaboratively and cross-discipline to add and refine functionality on their iOS and Android mobile apps. We’re looking for an active and enthusiastic test specialist with expertise of testing apps across a variety of different mobile devices who is passionate about software quality, enjoys thinking outside the box and wants to work in a high performing team doing complex and critical work.
The successful applicant will have demonstratable testing expertise of mobile devices, experience with mobile test tools and automation frameworks like XCUITest or Expresso, experience with mobile app testing tools such as Charles Proxy and be well used to working in an Agile software development environment.
