Responsibilities:

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Participate in Project and Service Teams, Internally and with Customers, with an objective of protecting live service by defining, developing, applying and assessing high quality and comprehensive Test campaigns for evolutions to current and new solutions.
Through gaining extensive knowledge of the solutions design, workflows and interfaces, provide support to the Service team in the event of an incident, participating to ensure compliance with SLA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of the Solution Design, enabling you to design test coverage which balances risk in line with policy/requirements
  • Establish the scope of changes and ensure that Test coverage is suitable to balance risk
  • Produce high quality documentation across all phases of the Software Delivery Lifecycle and Change/Release Management processes as applicable to the role
  • Represent test topics on behalf of Thales during internal and Customer forums
  • Report all defects identified during test execution to the Development Teams and tracking to ensure they are resolved within appropriate timeframe to achieve deployment objectives
  • Provide estimates and written input to Change Request responses
  • Produce input to the post-mortem of a Test/Change/Release with the objective of Continual Improvement of process, policy, tooling & methods
  • Manage and maintain the configuration of the Test environment
  • Respond to Incidents and Crisis to offer your expertise in diagnosing and resolving within SLA
  • Identify and highlight faults or flaws within the solution proactively to anticipate failure before it happens wherever possible (e.g. constraints, license issues, performance concerns, etc)
