Senior Behavioral Therapist

Based on this, we recommend the member to an appropriate level of care, which might include a licensed therapist, a certified mental health coach, or specific content in our library of self-serve digital courses and meditations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision of one-on-one instruction for 10% of the learner’s hours per week
  • Develop programming for each learner incorporating the ABLLS-R, Carolina Curriculum, Direct Instruction, PEAK, and VB–MAPPS
  • Train instructor therapists as required
  • Liaise with parents and third parties as needed
  • Complete ongoing progress reports and six-month reviews of learner’s programming
  • Participate in meetings for 10% of supervision hours with the supervising senior therapist
  • Participate in team meetings as required
  • Assist with learners who display aggression or self-injurious behavior using the least restrictive method approved by the Supervising Senior Therapist

Under the guidance of the Supervising Senior Therapist:

  • Conduct behavior interventions for individuals who engage in dangerous challenging behavior
  • Write up full assessment reports
  • Demonstrate the ability to make functional decisions regarding program progression
  • Interpret and analyze data in order to implement future programming
  • Evaluate staff performance during live observations and/or video recordings

Education/Experience:
BACB prefered

RBT prefered

  • University Degree in Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, or related field
  • Experience as an instructor therapist implementing ABA/IBI program for a minimum of 3 to 5 years
