Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Senior Therapy Assistant to join the Critical Care and Surgery Therapy team at Peterborough City Hospital.
The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, a kind and caring nature and a willingness to learn and develop. You will need to be flexible and adaptable assisting with a range of patients throughout the acute hospital setting. You will be working as a part of a supportive multidisciplinary team and will assist in providing Occupational and Physiotherapy to people with a range of surgical and medical conditions in the inpatient setting.
You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be motivated, organised and able to work as part of a team..

This post is 37.5 hours working Monday to Friday, some weekend working may be expected.

  • To support patients, their families and carers to maximise their participation in the attainment of their rehabilitation goals by following treatment programmes developed and provided by the Allied Health Professionals (AHP) involved
  • To work as a supervised member of the multidisciplinary team, maintaining good communication with the AHPs, and other members of the multi-disciplinary team e.g. doctors, nurses and social workers to try to achieve the Predicted Date of Discharge (PDD).
