Description:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active Top-Secret Clearance with a CI Poly
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Executing plans quickly and efficiently with minimum impact to the client’s work environment;
- Ability to quickly grasp technical issues and offer solutions;
- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Administration;
- Minimum five years of experience working in a lead capacity to support an IT infrastructure;
- 10+ years applied experience with core Windows/Linux OS environment;
- Minimum of five years of Cisco layer 2 and layer 3 Infrastructure experience;
- Expert knowledge in SDDC, VRA, Software Defined Storage (vSAN) and Software Defined Networking (NSX-T);
- Strong understanding & ability to work to an ITIL or Agile framework;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field;
- Microsoft MCSE: Core Infrastructure or MCSA: Server 2012 or 2016 certification; and the;
- Provides detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets;
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with designing, building, and deploying complex storage systems involving SAN;
- Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Tier 3 Systems Administrator to join our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III). The Senior Tier 3 Systems Administrator is responsible for the installs and troubleshooting a variety of operating systems. Maintains and supports the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems. Being a Senior Tier 3 Systems Administrator schedules, installs, and tests system software upgrades. Performs systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery and file maintenance. In addition, the Senior Tier 3 Systems Administrator configures software and resolves technical problems. Monitors and maintains software licensing and maintenance agreements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Tier 3 Systems Administrator is expected to be able to:
- Monitor the performance of servers, software and hardware;
- Configuration management which includes thorough documentation of all network/hardware changes;
- Receive reports of incidents via Help Desk phone system;
- Apply DISA STIGs and resolve security vulnerabilities;
- Develop and provide technical training and supports; provide backup to department staff as needed;
- Provide Tier III Operational Support (troubleshooting);
- Be on-call on a rotational basis to support essential business clients and emergency situations;
- Respond to and resolve help-desk requests; Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter;
- Conduct daily project team debrief conference call;
- Diagnose and correct computer systems’ issues;
- Provide purchase justifications and project benefit analysis;
- Perform daily and advanced management and administration of Hyper-V VMs via Microsoft System Center SCVMM;
- Maintains/coordinates changes for connections to remote databases;
- Provide Project Management oversight for on-going project efforts;
- Make recommendations for future upgrades.
