A Day in the Life
We are looking for Senior Trade Analyst to join the EMEA Trade Operations team of Medtronic. Within Medtronic, Trade ensures that processes and systems adhere to trade laws and regulations controlling all imports and exports. Medtronic is committed to ensuring Trade Compliant processes and standard controls are in place in line with both the Medtronic Global Trade Compliance standard and the European Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status.
The person who will take this role will play a key role in the timely delivery of our products to both the DCs and the patients within the EMEA countries. The Sr Trade Analyst will support import broker management, import process development, and supporting AEO compliance tasks. Success in this role will require the ability to think critically and solve problems, a desire to continually improve, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Supporting implementation of new brokerage lanes for the countries of scope (as needed) and
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining import SOPs with each import broker within scope (NL, UK, CH, NO, Canary Islands)
  • Financial set-up for new IORs (Medtronic Accounts Payable or Intelligent Audit)
  • Tracking monthly KPIs for imports and submitting data to Global Trade team
  • Proactive management of import brokers in scope (QBRs, KPI reporting, continuous improvement, remediation on potential gaps inaudit results, etc.)
  • Representation set-up as needed (Power of Attorneys, Representation forms, etc.)
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining IOR tables within scope
  • Supporting the implementation of audit process with import brokers and Audit team
  • Working in partnership with Medtronic Deliver to improve pre-alert and NOA performance.
  • Providing visibility to the leadership regarding import brokers and escalating challenges as needed
  • Supporting AEO Remediation plans

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred degrees within International Trade, Supply Chain, Business administration, Customs, or Law)
  • Min 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficient with MS Excel – data analysis, VLOOKUP, data manipulation, pivot tables, formulas, and macros
  • Result orientation by using data, KPI’s/Metrics
  • Experience in trade compliance/operations within the EU, Norway, Switzerland and/or the UK.
  • Proficient with Power BI – data entry, data relationships, importing and exporting to Excel, and reporting
  • Experience with SAP ECC & GTS
