Responsibilities:

The Senior Trading Analyst – Pricing is an exciting opportunity in our Trading team based at our Perth CBD Office.
The purpose of the role is to lead Synergy’s internal and external wholesale electricity pricing to maximise electricity sales margin and manage electricity portfolio risk cognisant of available energy and capacity balances.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Initiate relationships with new trading counterparties and maintain and improve relationships with existing counterparties.
  • Maintain a holistic understanding of the physical and financial elements of Synergy’s portfolio and strategy including forward energy and capacity supply position, existing and new generation assets, power purchase agreements and market exposure.
  • Assist Manager, Trading to evolve and execute efficient pricing and sales strategies to improve Synergy’s external contract position.
  • Develop and maintain systems, processes and procedures to support internal and external wholesale pricing and associated sales performance reporting.
  • Report on Synergy’s electricity portfolio risk metrics and wholesale energy market exposure.
