JOB OVERVIEW:

Meinhardt is looking for a talented Senior Traffic Engineer with 8+ years’ of experience to join our team in Dubai office, with at least five years of experience in the middle east as a Traffic Engineer/Transport Planner. In this role you will get to lead on traffic impact assessments for the Middle East regions. This role also requires contributing to a variety of transport planning studies including large scale transport master plan assessments, traffic impact studies or multi-disciplinary planning projects in the public and private sectors.
Role & responsibilities
The role will report to the Mobility and Transportation Lead in Dubai and work closely with the Group Director Smart Cities & Urban Infrastructure Transformation (SUIT) in Singapore and other Associate Directors
Manage the role of SUIT – Senior Traffic Engineer for projects in MENA & GCC region with focus on analysing and improving transportation systems
Required Skills
Proficient in using traffic simulation software such as VISSIM, SYNCHRO, SIDRA, and HCS.
Familiarity with strategic demand modelling tools like VISUM and CUBE is considered an advantage.
Experienced in presenting complex traffic simulation models and analyses to clients and local authorities.
Skilled in managing external consultants, ensuring deadlines are met, and maintaining the quality of deliverables.
Must be proficient in using GIS tools.
Capable of understanding project constraints and requirements effectively.
Strong ability to communicate proactively with design teams and collaborate to enhance design outcomes.
Required Qualifications
Hold a degree in a relevant field such as civil engineering, transport planning, or an equivalent discipline, with a master’s qualification preferred.
Possess 8-10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in the Middle East and a minimum of 2 years in Dubai.
Approved as a Traffic Engineer (Level 3 TIS) by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), and should possess all the key knowledge and processes of the RTA’s standard procedures.
Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering transportation projects within a multidisciplinary technical environment, with in-depth knowledge of Middle Eastern and/or international transport planning standards and practices.
Proficient in transport modelling, report writing, and delivering impactful presentations.
