Job Description
AECOM Traffic Engineering and System Planning is growing and is seeking a dynamic Senior Transportation Modeller to join our team.
The successful candidates will be based in AECOM Thornhill offices, where the multi-disciplinary team works on a wide range of projects delivering transportation solutions for tomorrow across Ontario, Canada and around the globe:
- Transportation master plan studies
- Business case assessments for transportation projects
- Transit ridership forecasting
- Transportation policy studies
- Active transportation planning and design projects
- Environmental assessments for transportation facilities
- Transportation study peer reviews
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in Civil Engineering with a strong emphasis on transportation and statistical analysis
- 6+ years of experience in travel demand forecasting using EMME and VISUM
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters of PhD degree in Transportation with an emphasis on transportation modelling
- 10+ years of experience with advanced transportation modelling
- Experience in computer programming languages (e.g. VBA, SQL, Python, C/C++) and EMME macro language
- Experience with AIMSUN, TransCAD, CUBE, VISSIM, Synchro/SimTraffic, ARCADY, SIDRA
