About you and this role:
The ABOPs Turnaround Team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Turnaround Coordinator (TAC)! This role can be located in either Prentiss (AB, CAN) or Fort Saskatchewan (AB, CAN).
This role is responsible for ensuring successful execution of assigned Turnarounds, providing oversight and coordination of the execution resources. The TAC is accountable for execution of the approved inventory list and performance of the contract resources aligned to the Turnaround. This includes adherence to the Global Turnaround Methodology and Platinum tools ensuring the appropriate and timely involvement of all functions critical to the success of the turnaround.
This role requires advanced skills and expertise in implementing work processes, procedures, and work execution systems to plan and execute a broad range of complex outages. The TA Coordinator will be assigned to a primary facility but may be required to support Turnarounds in other site facilities as resource demands dictate.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports core TA team to ensure effective work coordination, planning, scheduling, cost management, and material management.
  • Engages with operations, projects, maintenance, and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) functions.
  • Provides input into the long-term facility turnaround schedules.
  • Coordinates site integration issues.
  • Determines turnaround resource loads and coordinates with contract service to ensure proper staffing levels.
  • Ensures TA planning resources develop and implement job plans for turnarounds in each of the plants.
  • Controls the cost and timing of the turnaround to meet the forecast.
  • Enforces work list by freeze date.
  • Participates in critical path development- integrate operations, projects, and maintenance activities and optimizes.
  • Provides input into cost estimates based on scoped work and adjust plans to meet constraints.
  • Works with reliability staff to update Facility Reliability and Maintenance Strategy.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Journeyperson certificate with a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial environment.
  • Previous experience in work coordination is preferred.
  • A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.

Additional Notes:

  • Some travel between the Fort Saskatchewan and Prentiss sites will be required.
  • This position does not offer relocation assistance
