Requirements

  • Proven experience as a UX/UI designer with a strong portfolio showcasing mobile and web projects which demonstrate the ability to think critically about user experience.
  • Experience working in agile Squads where the UX/UI designer works with the Product Manager and Lead Engineer to provide leadership to the rest of the team.
  • Proficient in using Figma and Adobe CS.
  • Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Understanding of online usability analysis tools.
  • A background in financial services, particularly wealth management, is desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of user-centered design methodology.
  • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively to both expert and non-expert audiences.
  • Team player who works well both within cross-functional teams, both internally and with external suppliers, and independently as required.
  • Willingness to take responsibility, demonstrate proactivity, and communicate clearly.
  • Effectively managing one’s own workload.
  • Willing and keen to learn.

Skills/Other relevant information

  • Reports to the Digital Experience Manager.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • The successful candidate will be client-focused, self-motivated, adaptable, and resilient.

Responsibilities:

Purpose
This role involves working within an agile Squad to create user-centric products and experiences across our digital applications. As a Senior UX Designer at 7IM, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional user experiences that align with 7IM’s design principles and overall requirements. In this role, you will be the voice of our customers, translating their needs into user-friendly designs and directly impacting customers’ user experience of our Product.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product Management to gather requirements and understand the objectives of each initiative.
  • Provide leadership and guidance within the Squad and to any external partner firms to ensure that the user experience designs are understood to enable the requirements and solutions to meet the design.
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX/UI problems.
  • Develop fully thought-out UI visual designs that meet the project’s needs and enhance the user experience.
  • Present ideas and designs, explaining the rationale to senior stakeholders.
  • Support the development and testing teams, ensuring the design is delivered as expected.
  • Create and manage the product style guides and design system.
  • Work alongside the Digital Experience Manager to ensure all designs remain consistent with product design and brand guidelines.
  • While not directly interacting with customers, your actions should align with upholding the FCA’s Consumer Duty principles, contributing to fair and beneficial outcomes for our clients.
  • Adherence to all applicable compliance standards and best practices at all times.
  • Acting consistently in accordance with the 7IM VPVP’s.
