The Senior UX Designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create seamless, user-friendly experiences for our streaming products across web, mobile, and connected television platforms as we look to reimagine the future of streaming.
Working on exciting brands such as Kayo Sports, Binge, Flash News and FoxSports.com.au, this role will be involved in every stage of the design process, from research and ideation through to wireframing, prototyping, and testing. It will focus on understanding user needs and behaviours to inform design decisions, ensuring that our products are intuitive, engaging, and aligned with the brand’s goals

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in digital UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on digital products (web, mobile, TV apps, etc.). Experience working in the sports, entertainment or streaming industry is a plus but not required.
  • Proven experience applying UX design principles and methodologies to create seamless, intuitive user experiences. Knowledge of user research techniques (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability testing) and how to integrate findings into the design process.
  • Proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma, the Adobe suite, or similar tools. Experience in creating low- and high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and user flows.
  • Strong ability to work in a cross-functional team and communicate effectively with designers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders. Ability to present and justify design decisions clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to identify user needs, define problems, and design creative solutions that are both functional and user-friendly. You should be comfortable working through complex design challenges and iterating on your designs based on feedback.
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes and how UX design fits within Agile workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Product team by performing an active leadership role during the discovery phase of the delivery lifecycle in validating whether ideas/initiatives have product market fit.
  • Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights that inform the design process.
  • Analyse data and user feedback to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to visualize and validate design concepts.
  • Use prototyping tools to communicate ideas clearly and test assumptions with users early in the process.
  • Design intuitive, user-friendly interactions that enhance the overall user experience. Ensure that your designs are easy to use, efficient, and meet the needs of our diverse user base.
  • Work closely with UI designers, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless handoff and execution of design solutions.
  • Continuously iterate on your designs based on feedback from users, stakeholders, and usability testing.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in both functionality and user satisfaction.
  • Conduct usability testing on designs at various stages of development to ensure they meet the needs of our users and are easy to navigate.
  • Analyse testing results and adjust designs based on feedback and data.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of design guidelines and best practices. Document your design process, including user personas, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes, to ensure consistency across teams.
  • Contribute to the design evolution across the different brands, ensuring that each user experience is optimized for its unique audience while maintaining a cohesive experience across all products.
