MICROSOFT E+D GROWTH RESEARCH TEAM (DPG IRELAND) .

The E+D Growth UXR team is dedicated to informing and impacting the growth of M365, Copilot and other Microsoft commercial and consumer products. The industry is undergoing a fundamental shift with the onset of new GenAI technologies such as Copilot. People want tools that will enable them to do their work efficiently and effectively, be connected to their company culture, understand how to succeed, and feel supported across their entire journey. Our E+D Growth team is run as a start-up, encouraging team members to share a sense of “founderism.” The Growth UXR team supports this team with actionable research and clear POVs to drive strategy. In this role, you will engage directly with customers, iterate rapidly, and focus on solving the most critical needs of our customers around the world to deliver an innovative, connected ecosystem of products and to make it easy for them to find, try, and use these products.

About Role, The Growth Research team is looking for a Senior UX Researcher who can drive human-centered strategy, helps set product direction, and contributes directly to ongoing product lifecycle research by integrating insights about human behaviors, attitudes, practices, and norms. In this role, you will leverage your skills in evaluative and foundational research to guide near and long-term product experience investments. You will work closely with UX designers, product managers, other user researchers, data science, and engineering to ensure that we are addressing the most critical user needs and opportunities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field AND User Experience Research experience
  • OR Master’s Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field AND User Experience Research experience
  • OR Doctorate in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field AND User Experience Research experience
  • OR equivalent experience
  • Relevant domain experience within technology sector.
  • Experience supporting digital product teams and leveraging research methods impacting both product direction and detailed experience design.
  • Experience understanding user needs relating to product making.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive research and UX practices that ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion in our product making decisions.
  • Build and execute impactful research plans that provide broad market views and deep customer insights needed to inform our product strategy and growth goals.
  • Derive insights from quantitative and qualitative data, complementing other research that you will conduct on your own or in partnership with other researchers and stakeholders.
  • Continuously inform the product roadmap using customer data (qualitative and quantitative). Key to this accountability will be identifying gaps and customer pain points, as well as potential customer delighters.
  • Land impact broadly from your customer-focused knowledge by working across engineering, design, and marketing disciplines.
  • Perform ongoing UX Health studies to evaluate and improve the user experience.
  • Communicate research findings in clear and compelling ways to all levels of the product team, with the ability to explain methodology, insights, and design recommendations.
