Description:

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Must have at least 3-5 years experience conducting UX Research, particularly for omnichannel products and services.
  • Experience with standard UX Research methodologies (e.g. interviews, field studies/ethnography, diary studies, task analysis, formative and summative usability tests, A/B testing, surveys, heuristic evaluations, competitive analysis, etc.)
  • Experience creating UX Research artifacts such as journey maps, personas, affinity diagrams, highlight reels, etc.
  • Familiarity with design tools like Figma.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into succinct thought and impactful storytelling

Preferred Skills:

  • Comfortable with organizing and leading stakeholder workshops.
  • Possesses an understanding of digital analytics and how it complements UX Research.
  • Ability to develop creative approaches to researching complex UX problems.
  • Experience studying new technologies and understanding how it might fit into users’ lives

Responsibilities:

  • Actively partner with designers, product teams, and other key stakeholders to deeply understand and inform research goals and strategies.
  • Plan, conduct, and synthesize research using a range of methods, including, but not limited to interviews, field studies, diary studies, task analysis, formative and summative usability tests, A/B testing, surveys, heuristic evaluations, competitive analysis, etc.,
  • Support designers in making data-informed decisions at various stages in the design process, including discovery, problem definition, ideation, and design validation.
  • Consolidate user insights to develop artifacts such as personas, user scenarios, journey maps, mental models, etc.,
  • Effectively articulate the implications of research insights in clear and compelling ways; translating qualitative and quantitative research findings into actionable opportunities and recommendations.
  • Understand industry trends and connect with other products teams to share and leverage insights across the organization.
  • Confidently represent and advocate for the user voice in conversations with stakeholders.
  • Other tasks as reasonably required by the Project Manager
