About the team:
As Senior Vendor Governance Officer you will join the Chief Controls function at OSB Group, reporting into the Vendor and IntraGroup Governance Manager and a team of 12. This is a critical role responsible for onboarding 3rd parties and managing the ongoing lifecycle of suppliers, including periodic reviews, monitoring and managing emerging risk.
The role can be based from our Chatham or Wolverhampton office.

What you will be doing:
As Senior Vendor Governance Officer you will assist in the effective management and oversight of the Vendor Management and IntraGroup frameworks, undertaking a range of activities relating to the lifecycle of third party risk management. Your previous experience of onboarding and supplier management will allow you to provide sound advice and support to all sectors of the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead on third party sourcing and category management analysis, identifying ways to streamline ways of working and cost savings
  • Ensure third parties and intragroup arrangements are risk assessed, on-boarded, managed and exited in line with agreed procedures
  • Work with the appropriate Relationship Owners to provide support, and input to the required strategies, approaches and testing principles relating to critical third-party continuity and contingency
  • Create regular reporting on approved Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators.
  • Prepare relevant documentation for Vendor Management committees, including producing meeting packs, tracking actions, and presenting at meetings as required.
  • Support, assist and help develop Procurements performance in line with good practice and industry standards.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to all direct reports, including performance management and assist with the teams personal development in line with Business Values, Group Policies, Procurement Standards and Personal Objectives.

In return for your commitment:

We offer a base salary dependent on location and experience between £36,000 - £45,000 and a competitive benefits package including:

  • Discretionary annual bonus opportunity of up to 15%.

  • Previous experience in either a Vendor Management / Third Party Management or Operations / Risk / Quality Assurance role
  • Specialist knowledge and understanding of third-party risk management processes and operating frameworks
  • Understanding of regulatory guidelines and requirements relating to outsourcing and third-party risk management
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to disseminate information
