Description:

WHAT YOU’LL NEED FOR SUCCESS

  • CAIB, CIP preferred. RIBO (Ontario Broker’s license) and Quebec broker’s license an asset but not required
  • Typically, 7+ years of Commercial Insurance in the Construction Industry and product line experience
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Knowledge of the construction industry including working knowledge of CCDC contract documents, builder’s risk, and wrap-up liability policies.
  • The ideal candidate would have an expansive prospect list with a focused industry niche;
  • Proven sales ability is a definite asset.
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and energetic individual with a passion for insurance and a drive to succeed;
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills and excellent
  • Effective organizational skills and time management
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel).
  • Ability to learn and understand new systems quickly; EPIC fluency is an asset.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a dynamic Senior Vice President, Construction. This position entails seeking growth opportunities for the construction practice of Hub International. Working under the supervision of Brenda Morin-Fox Senior Vice President.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Identifying and prospecting new desirable construction companies for property & casualty. Selling to new desirable target industries with an emphasis on the construction and expansion of our existing programs;
  • Assist with account management of existing clients and client retention
  • Making presentations and explaining coverage to clients and prospects;
  • Effectively managing customer expectations;
  • Closing the deal - Upselling / cross-selling.
  • Answering customer inquiries.
  • Actively participating in targeted Associations and/or other relevant organizations;
  • Further developing relationships with centers of influence for referral business;
  • Other miscellaneous duties as required.
