- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and maintain a strong competitive position within the market.
- Sales Management: Lead the sales team, set revenue targets, and monitor their performance. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and provide sales training and support to meet and exceed revenue goals.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key advertising clients, advertising agencies, business partners, and community relations to secure and grow advertising revenues.
- Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient and effective station operations, including programming, promotions, and technical aspects. Monitor compliance with FCC regulations, company policies and local laws.
- Budget Management: Manage budgets ensuring expenses are controlled and revenues are maximized to meet financial objectives.
- Audience Development: Collaborate with the programming department to develop and implement strategies to attract and retain listeners, ensuring strong ratings and audience engagement.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competition, and demographic changes to make informed decisions and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Community Engagement: Foster positive community relationships, participate in community events, and represent the station’s interests in the local area.
- People & Culture: Recruit, train, and manage a solid team of audio & entertainment professionals, setting clear performance expectations and fostering a unified, inclusive, positive working environment.
