REQUIREMENTS:

  • A good Degree in Banking & Finance, Engineering or Data related fields of study. Risk management certification (e.g., FRM) or quant finance training (e.g., MFE) will be an added advantage.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in Risk Management roles (methodologies, analytics, production, data management) within financial institutions.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments across various asset classes (equities, fixed income, commodities, derivatives etc). Exposure to private market asset classes (private equity, real estate, infrastructure) will be helpful.
  • Good working knowledge of risk methodologies and analytics across market and counterparty credit risks.
  • Good understanding of financial data sets (security and entity reference data, transactions, valuations, portfolio, rates etc) and data models used for operational and analytics data (such as design of data warehouse).
  • Highly process oriented with experience designing and managing risk systems and operations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with Technology and Data partners and articulate complex issues to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Able to influence and operate at a senior management level.
  • Proven team management experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight over the systems and data infrastructure needed to support risk management activities within RPMD.
  • Lead a team of system specialists responsible for managing the life cycle of enterprise risk and performance systems which includes running the business operations and working with the relevant stakeholders to maintain and enhance the systems.
  • Manage escalations with Technology Group in design and implementation of technology solutions to meet end-user requirements.
  • Ensure alignment of standards, drive best practices, and ensure compliance with internal Technology and Data policies and standards.
  • With RPMD being a key data consumer, actively take part and drive enterprise-wide data initiatives to improve the firm’s data infrastructure, which include the design of enterprise data models (e.g., entity and security master), review of data operating model and execution of large-scale data migration projects.
  • Oversee the design of RPMD’s data architecture (analytical data marts, data services etc.) as well as its alignment with the overall data strategy of the firm.
  • Engage senior stakeholders (risk managers, front office, corporate services, vendors etc.) to communicate and resolve key issues.
