Position Overview: This role is for an in-house SVP, Legal Counsel position. The incumbent should be licensed to practice law in one or more states in which the company or its subsidiaries operate. The successful candidate will have at least 3+ years of relevant experience and will focus on human resource matters, legal compliance, litigation management, vendor contracting, and provide contract support for various lines of business as needed. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with excellent communication and analytical skills

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:

JD from an accredited law school
Membership in good standing of a state bar association as an attorney qualified to practice law in that state
A minimum of 3 years legal experience as in-house counsel or related law firm practice
Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and corporate transactional
Strong work ethic, superior organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under time constraints and work well independently and as a collaborative team member
Knowledge of and proficiency with LexisNexis and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent judgment and business acumen
Strong attention to detail and ability to problem-solve
Ability to relate and work well with people of many cultures, disciplines, and levels of experience
Excellent oral/written communication skills
Strong analytical review and research skills
Willingness to occasionally travel, as needed
Entrepreneurial spirit and experience
Confidence and leadership with humility
Optimistic attitude that thrives in a dynamic and complex working environment

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

The employee may be required to report to a different local office as a normal, contemplated, and mandated incident of their employment

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Office environment with frequent computer, mouse, keyboard use
Alternating between sitting or standing as needed
Hearing, talking, reaching, grasping
