The Global Client Group (GCG) manages institutional relationships and raises capital for Brookfield’s various private funds.
In Asia Pacific, Brookfield has raised over $75bn of institutional capital from 10 countries across the region for real estate, infrastructure, renewable power, private equity, and private credit strategies.
The Senior Vice President, Regional Management will report directly to the Managing Partner, Regional Head of GCG (based in Sydney) and indirectly to the Managing Director, Fundraise Management (based in New York) in a leadership capacity to form and drive the execution of the regional business plans and fundraise plans.
The Regional Head of Global Client Group, Asia Pacific is responsible for designing, driving, representing and managing all aspects of the Global Client Group within the region as well as acting as the senior representative for strategic institutional relationships in the region.
The Fundraise Management Team is responsible for managing the end-to-end fundraising strategy for Brookfield’s various private funds. GCG is seeking a senior leader to assist in designing, building and managing the individual fundraising plans in the Asia Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Vice President – Regional Management, Asia Pacific will support and partner with the Regional Head of GCG to design and execute all aspects of the regional Global Client Group business plan as well as interfacing with investors and external advisors. Including but not limited to:

  • Assist in designing the regional business and manage execution of the plan.
  • Assist in executing on a stakeholder management strategy primarily with Diligence Management, Marketing & Content, Client Relationship Management, Investor Relations, Legal, Compliance, Finance & Operations and the Investment Teams and Product Specialists
  • Identify issues and proactively manage risk.
  • Assist in the formulation and assessment of new regional client strategies.

The Senior Vice President – Regional Management will partner with the global fundraise management team to drive the fundraising lifecycle for Brookfield global investment strategies, customizing and implementing the fundraise strategy in the Asia Pacific region and coordinating all stakeholder groups in delivering their respective roles throughout each stage of the fundraising lifecycle. Including but not limited to:

  • Develop and implement the strategy for generating investor interest and driving momentum, working closely with Client Relationship Managers in the region to meet fundraise targets.
  • Proactively monitor and tactically adapt the strategy as circumstances change.
  • Facilitate key decisions throughout fundraising process with all stakeholder groups.
  • Lead the APAC Fundraise Management team.
  • Strategically review fund-specific marketing materials, including offering memoranda, investor presentations and other documents to provide input that will be relevant for messaging to the market in Asia Pacific
  • Act as senior representative for fundraise management in Asia Pacific in GCG leadership meetings as required.
  • Coach and mentor new team members within region, supporting close alignment with counterparts globally.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for the development and retention of junior team members, creating and promoting effective training programs for new team members.
  • Identify issues and proactively manage risk.

Qualifications Required:

  • Post graduate degree in finance, business management or another relevant discipline.

Experience Required:

  • 12+ years of experience in fundraising for private fund strategies, with a particular focus on the Asia Pacific region
  • Demonstrated understanding of the LP landscape and preferences, styles and requirements across key regions and investor types
  • Strong strategy/product knowledge and ability to communicate (internally) details of fund approach.
  • Strong investment and financial analytical capabilities and investment reporting experience.
  • Strong global team management experience
  • Experience in high volume processes and technology enabled solutions.
  • Experience in real estate, infrastructure and/or private equity asset classes strongly preferred.
  • Institutional fund marketing sales and support experience strongly preferred.
