Overview
The AI & Decision Product Enablement team enables industry leading AI and decisioning based products for market facing programs with business agility and deliver with resiliency, availability, and global scale. We are looking for a SVP Software Engineering to lead our AI & Rules Decision Tooling internal product team along with other products for the Decision Management Program (DMP). DMP products deliver industry-leading intelligence with business agility at global scale to power over 40 market facing products across the MA network while processing billions of transactions per day, through hundreds of AI models in milliseconds. The ideal candidate is passonate about driving growth in AI and decision based products by building the next generation of AI inferencing & related technology capabilities to grow MA services with a strong focus on our internal customers. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, intellectually curious, a strategic thinker, a strong partner and leader.

Role

  • Provide overall ownership of AI & Rules Decision Tooling & other technology products, acting as the highest authority on high-level and complex decisions
  • Formally supervise and coach multiple engineering teams to build, enhance, and support multiple applications/services in the delivery of new capabilities
  • Provide strategic thinking and leadership across architecture, approaches, and development methodologies to enable resiliency, localization, and new product capabilities.
  • Responsible for business execution including objective setting, performance management, recruiting, and coaching
  • Partner with key stakeholders to provides strategic thinking and leadership to meet product needs and technical objectives through solutions
  • Sets the vision for an environment of ingenuity and creativity and acts as a role model for others in challenging the status quo to encourage innovation
  • Benchmark and drive engineering productivity, quality, and technology policy compliance in the areas of ownership

All About You

  • IT experience with successful track record in managing medium-to-large scale development organization with demonstrated thought-leadership, cross-functional influence, and partnership
  • Has a breadth and depth of technical experience including high volume, low latency critical systems, AI/ML inferencing, business rules engines, and micro-service architecture.
  • Has experience in leading and coaching teams to perform software planning and estimation for large scale complex programs
  • Has skills to architect cost effective systems to run on-prem and public cloud environments
  • Performance engineering experience to ensure applications are built to scale, run, and perform for varying demands.
  • Demonstrated innovator and strategic thinker evidenced through solutions to meet both product and technology needs
  • Has skills to evaluate practices, metrics, and roles to continually optimize SDLC methodologies and automate processes to improve lead time and quality
  • Has an expert understanding of DevOps best practices to guide developers and abstract application development from underlying hosting platforms and infrastructure
