Description:
Gleddoch, one of the most prestigious hotel, golf and spa resorts is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Wedding & Events Coordinator to join their team. Gleddoch is a 75-bedroom hotel, golf course, luxurious spa with food and beverage outlets.
As Senior Wedding & Events Coordinator you will have responsibility for optimizing the use of event spaces, whilst ensuring revenue is captured. Our Senior Wedding & Events Co-ordinator will enhance the overall guest experience by effectively handling event bookings from the initial enquiry to the completion of the event and supporting our existing team in our events office. You will support our Events Office Manager ensuring that departmental processes are in place and followed. You will also support with training requirements for the team within the events office. You will be organised, passionate and go the extra mile for our customers. Attention to detail is key for this role.
Main duties include but are not limited to:
· To ensure that our events office creates a professional impression to our customers and team members.
· To Ensure that Guest expectations are met or exceeded.
· Promote the hotel & its services in a positive manner.
· To Carry out showrounds for potential wedding or event bookings.
· Attending weekly meetings and appointments
· Preparing all paperwork including sales proposals, contracts, invoices and function sheets
· Responding to all enquires via telephone or email in relation to events, wedding and functions.
· Complete all necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth running of events including timings, equipment etc.
· Communicate detail of all event requirements to the business.
· Planning, organising and using a systematic approach to getting things done.
· To support with planned training and development for the events office team
· Filing and any ad hoc duties as required
· To support Events Office Manager, Produce weekly and monthly revenue reports when required
· To ensure effective communication within the Events office team and the hotel operational team. Our Events office produce our function sheets. You will ensure that these are detailed and factual. You will attend weekly operations meetings to discuss upcoming events within the hotel.
· To hold a strong working relationship with all departments, including, kitchen, front of house and head office
· To comply with your responsibilities under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
· To Comply with statutory and Company requirements for Health and Safety, Food Safety, Risk Assessment, Licensing Laws, Disability and other legislation and ensure your team are trained to meet the above requirements.
· Adhere to company guidelines on all staff policies such as Dress Code & Appearance etc.
To be considered for the role of Senior Wedding & Events Coordinator you should be a great communicator with bags of self-motivation and a great team player. You will need to have a flexible approach to working, Gleddoch operates twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. This role will be based on 5 days over 7.
