Description:

Job role: Senior Residential Youth Support Worker
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Location: Spondon, Derbyshire
Salary: £29,366 - £33,195 per annum (Inclusive of sleep-in payments and attendance bonus)
Working in our residential children’s homes at Homes2Inspire means working for a dedicated team providing nurturing and supportive environments for young people in our care. We are committed to helping build a brighter future for our young people by offering stability, guidance, and pathways to becoming well-rounded adults – and our support staff are there every step of the way!
The nature of the role varies in pace, and you will be working directly with vulnerable young people who have adverse backgrounds and require a trauma-informed nurturing environment. For some young people, the behaviours caused by previous trauma can mean that it is too risky for them to live with others, and smaller homes with higher staffing ratios are required to ensure that young people in need have a place to call home and the support system in place to work through difficult emotions and behaviours.
If you are passionate about helping young people and colleagues reach their full potential and have experience working with young people in a residential setting or transferrable experience in a similar role with young people, we would love to hear from you. Homes2Inspire are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults.

Responsibilities:

Providing support to the Deputy Manager and Home Manager of the home whilst on shift and performing senior duties as directed
Helping to create a positive and safe environment for each young person
Maintaining good professional practices in accordance with Homes2Inspire expectations, Ofsted Regulations and the Quality Care Standards for children’s homes
Contributing to reviewing and implementing young person’s care plans and risk assessments
Forming effective relationships with young people, their families (if appropriate) and external agencies
