The Influence Agency is a growing marketing agency that specializes in Influencer Marketing, Community Management, Content Strategy & Development, SEO, Paid Media, Web Design & Development, and much more!
Are you a meticulous editor with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling? The Influence Agency is seeking a talented Freelance Editor to join our dynamic team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience editing engaging blogs, website pages, and marketing content, we want to hear from you!
At this time we are looking for someone based in Canada who is able to take on regular editing assignments and be a regular contributor to the agency. A minimum word count can be provided per month, offering a stable and recurring opportunity. We are not accepting international applicants at this time.

REQUIREMENTS

• A meticulous eye for detail to ensure top quality pieces for various clients
• Able to confidently conduct research and fact check on a wide array of topics and industries
• Knowledge of SEO content best practices, including the seamless integration of on-page SEO strategies
• Experience with Surfer SEO, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, WordPress, SEO tools, Asana, and / or Content Management Systems is a bonus
• Confidently meets deadlines and communicates effectively with management
• Must meet all predetermined deadlines.

• Opportunity to edit and finesse long-form blogs and copy on various topics. The Influence Agency produces content for many industries, including insurance, medical, mental health, marketing, home services, cannabis, and more. A successful contributor will shift their tone and style from client to client, producing top-notch work across the board.
• Conduct research to ensure facts are correct, organized and supported by claims. A curiosity for learning about new topics will lead to high-quality, accurate work.
• Implement on-page SEO best practices into written work, including optimizing for targeted keywords, editing for search intent, crafting clickable metas, strategic link building and anchor text placement, and more.
• Communicate effectively and in a timely manner through email with leadership.
• Meet deadlines through meticulous organization, understanding how to prioritize work, and creating an efficient workflow.
