The primary duty of this role is to support a Senior SEO & Content Strategist in executing a variety of content writing & SEO strategy tasks offered through add-on SEO packages that our dealership clients have signed up for. These tasks are largely focused on content writing (like, a lot), as well as some basic local and technical SEO account management, which requires consistent daily, weekly, and monthly attention. The candidate must be an excellent writer, prompt communicator, expedient worker, self-motivated, quick to meet a variety of deadlines, and one who takes direction well, with a willingness and desire to work, learn, and grow within the world of SEO.
This is a fully remote role.
Responsibilities:

What You Will Do:

  • Write—often about similar topics, and a lot—all day. The majority of this position is related to content marketing and content creation, so we feel it’s important to clarify that this person (like us) will be doing a lot of writing throughout the day, often on many of the same topics. You will be in charge of writing numerous landing pages and blog posts each month, and then again the following month, and so on. As an automotive-specific agency, you’re bound to learn a lot about vehicles, car dealerships, auto finance, and vehicle maintenance by sheer repetition, while also finding creative ways to tailor those messages to speak to potential customers. If you’ve had past work or academic experience that was heavily writing-focused, tell us about how you’ve managed your workloads, prioritized tasks, or worked through a creative roadblock.
  • Necessity to work expediently and with multiple projects on your plate. Your position is such to help execute the many number of writing and management tasks required either for the day, week or month, across a great deal of different clients, which demands the ability to complete said tasks in an efficient yet thorough manner, to properly serve all of the work that needs to be done. This will include a variety of both content creation and account management tasks, along with due dates that need to be upheld to match both the quality of work desired and the required deadline.
  • Work in direct contact and collaboration with a Senior SEO & Content Strategist. The work in this position will be focused around assisting and aiding a Senior SEO & Content Strategist(s), one who manages a multitude of accounts, and is consistently in contact with the client, ensuring their needs are always met, through our variety of content marketing, local SEO, and technical SEO packages, along with general SEO needs. You will need to execute on any desired work directed to you by the Senior SEO & Content Strategist, largely focused around content writing, local SEO management, and technical SEO implementation. You must be able to follow within the guidelines put forth by both the client and Senior Strategist on what is demanded from said work.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and frequently. There will be a lot of opportunities to take in and retain a large amount of information in a very short period of time (whether you’re a novice or seasoned in SEO), as SEO is known to change quite often. Our team is often reminded that successful strategies need to leave room for tactics that might fly in the face of best practices if the circumstances warrant it, so any preconceived notions should be made in pencil. What You Will Need:

  • Languages: English (required), French (an asset)
  • Writing Experience. Since content writing is the primary work you’ll be completing in this role, it stands to reason that you being an excellent writer is the main piece of criteria we’re looking for in this role. Not only are we looking for a skilled and detailed writer, but one who’s versatile to meet the many demands that website content writing requires. From specification and feature-driven landing pages to more educational blog posts, from writing for a blue collar brand/audience to writing for one with an upscale/luxury focus, you need to be able to meet the changing demands of online written work.
  • Writing Samples. If you’ve got writing experience, we’d love to see examples of your work online—especially if it emulates a particular brand voice or style. If not, we’re hoping you have a heck of a cover letter. Bonus points if you have anything automotive-related/prior experience.
  • Past SEO experience. We’ll start off by saying this isn’t actually a qualification or prerequisite for this position, and to be able to do this job successfully, even if it may be in the job title, it just helps us gauge the level of training and guidance needed. But, if you do have SEO experience, whether you were taught in school, learned on your own, or just picked up some things along the way, we value hearing about your previous SEO knowledge, to see how it can be applied in this role. Mostly, we just want to see how passionate you are about the field.

At E INC, in the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share our base pay as it is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this full-time position is $45,000.00 - $52,000.00, and this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition, our ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
