JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated SEO Specialist with a strong background in Google Tag Manager (GTM) to join our team. In this role, you will develop, execute, and maintain effective SEO strategies that enhance our online presence and drive organic traffic. Your expertise in GTM will be crucial for accurately managing and optimising tags, tracking key metrics, and ensuring comprehensive data collection to measure the success of all SEO efforts. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, content creation, and development, to ensure that best practices in SEO are integrated into every aspect of our digital presence. The ideal candidate is both analytical and creative, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for staying on top of evolving SEO trends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven SEO Experience: A track record of successfully improving organic search visibility and driving targeted traffic to websites. Strong familiarity with on-page and off-page optimization, link-building strategies, and the latest SEO best practices.
- Expertise in Google Tag Manager: In-depth knowledge of GTM setup, tag configuration, event tracking, and troubleshooting. You should be able to demonstrate successful implementation of GTM for various marketing and analytics needs.
- Proficiency in SEO Tools: Experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar platforms to perform keyword research, track performance, and analyze competitor activity.
- Technical Skill Set: Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and how these languages affect site performance and SEO. Ability to collaborate effectively with web developers to implement necessary technical changes.
- Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and convert insights into clear, strategic action plans. Excellent communication skills are essential for presenting findings and collaborating with internal teams or stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- SEO Strategy and Implementation: You will conduct in-depth keyword research to identify high-impact opportunities, then develop and implement both on-page and off-page SEO strategies. This includes optimizing website content, meta tags, headings, and internal linking structures. You will also stay informed about the latest algorithm changes and market trends to continuously refine your SEO initiatives.
- Google Tag Manager (GTM) Management: A significant part of your role will involve setting up and managing GTM containers, tags, triggers, and variables. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate tracking of user actions, goals, and conversions, as well as troubleshooting any tagging issues that may arise. This requires familiarity with event tracking and data layers to maintain a clean and efficient GTM setup.
- Data Analysis and Insights: You will monitor SEO performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other relevant tools. By analyzing website traffic, user behavior, and keyword rankings, you will identify trends, measure campaign ROI, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. You will also prepare and present regular performance reports, translating complex analytics into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Technical SEO and Website Audits: Conducting comprehensive website audits to diagnose and resolve technical SEO issues will be another important aspect of your job. You will work with the development team to fix crawl errors, improve site speed, implement structured data, and address mobile responsiveness. Your collaboration ensures that the technical foundation of our website is optimized for search engine visibility.
- Collaboration with Content and Marketing Teams: Working alongside content creators, you will guide the creation of SEO-friendly materials that align with user intent and brand objectives. You will advise on keyword placement, content structure, and readability. In addition, you will coordinate with marketing colleagues to align SEO campaigns with broader marketing efforts, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
