Separation Scientists at Sygnature Discovery play an essential role in supporting integrated client projects as well as delivering specialist services. The growing team is looking for enthusiastic scientists to push our capabilities even further.
As a Separation Scientist you will be involved in developing new chromatographic methods, purification by preparative HPLC and SFC alongside the maintenance of instrumentation.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • A BSc/MSc in Chemistry (or related subject)
  • Understanding of different purification methods/techniques would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of a wide range of analytical techniques, including the use of LCMS, UPLC and SFC. Previous use is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to multitask and time manage to a high level
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work well within a team environment
  • Effective problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

  • To work and solve challenging chromatographic problems on a wide and diverse chemical space on state-of-the-art instrumentation
  • Developing generic and bespoke chromatographic methods with application to automated analysis and purification
  • Daily use and maintenance of preparative and analytical HPLC and SFC
  • Delivery of rapid achiral and chiral purification requests from chemistry
  • Integrate and learn from an industry leading chromatographic group
  • To work in a training and development lead environment
