Description:
Tradition Golf Club is a special place. We are known for our golf, our beauty, history and warm and friendly members. Tradition offers an 18-hole course, 9-hole par 3 course, practice facilities, over 100 member and family events, full fitness facility, spa services, bocce ball, pickleball and many enriched programs and fun social events.
During the fall, winter, and spring seasons, Tradition Golf Club operates and is looking to fill a full-time or part-time position from approximately October 2024 to June 2025. Candidates must have a flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, as non-traditional work hours are necessary for the role. Time off requests will not be granted in March or April, as these months are key event and festival months.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Server Assistant position at Tradition Golf Club isn’t just about putting food on the table that our members/guests will enjoy until they ask for their bill. Instead, we want to build an experience that is memorable and unique – with food and drinks on the side. Our Server Assistant experts take the initiative and deliver a wide range of services to make sure food and beverage operations run smoothly. Whether setting tables, assisting the kitchen, or cleaning work areas and replenishing supplies, the server assistant expert provides the support that makes transactions feel like part of the experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Assists servers in their set-up, service, and clean-up tasks.
- Serves water as members and guests are seated
- Cleans dining room areas.
- Stocks servers’ station with supplies
- Collects trash from dining area following the conclusion of dinner service. Dust chairs before and after functions
- Keeps ice bins and buckets filled
- Folds napkins and breadbasket linens
- Cleans up spills, broken service ware and attends to similar problems during service with minimal disruption to diners
- Polishes silver after service (Banquet or Dinning service)
- Ensure the correct and timely set-up of all Banquet Event order functions
- Maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet function space, pre-function space, and storage areas including the carpet, walls, walks, doors, windows and heaters
- Maintains the banquet storeroom in a neat and organized manner stocked with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for food service functions.
- Breaks down after the completion of functions and ensures that all equipment and supplies are stored properly
- Properly store and clean all banquet equipment (ice trays, chafing dishes, table chairs) in banquet storeroom and garage.
- Refreshes meeting rooms as needed
- Notifies management of any hazards
- Handles items for “Lost and Found”
- Attends pre-service training (line-up meeting)
- Assists with buffet setup
- Leadership – Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify Company values and represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customers
- Customer Service – Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
- Teamwork - Develop and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workers
- Safety – Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or GED
- One (1) year related experience in hospitality or service industry (Preferred)
