Description:
Position Summary:
As a Server at IHOP, you’ll be the friendly face our guests see first. You’ll ensure exceptional dining experiences by providing attentive service and anticipating our guests’ needs. From taking orders to delivering delicious meals with a smile, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take orders from guests and answer any questions they may have.
- Serve drinks and food promptly and courteously.
- Accommodate guests’ needs and special requests in a timely manner.
- Make suggestions regarding food and drink options.
- Clean guest tables and maintain a tidy dining area.
- Use a point-of-sale computerized register system to relay orders to the kitchen.
- Present the guest check and handle cash or credit card payments with efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in reading and writing.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours during shifts.
- Capable of lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
- Full mobility of hands and arms to perform repetitive tasks like transporting plates, glasses, and baskets between the kitchen and dining room.
