We have a fantastic opportunity for a Server Infrastructure Lead to join us at our unique Head Office in Renfrew, which includes our state-of-the-art gym with weekly circuit training, a personal trainer and yoga classes as well as the Beeks Bar or weekly masseuse to help you unwind!

REQUIRED EXPERIENCES:

• Strong - Knowledge of Windows and Linux OS.
• Experience of sizing server infrastructure in line with internal and client requirements.
• Experience of working with DCIM tools.

DESIRED EXPERIENCES:

• Python server automation technologies
• Financial sector experience

THE ROLE:

The candidate will be a significant contributor to the team’s IT success, supporting and delivering infrastructure and solutions to a greater level platform working directly with data centre, network, software development and project teams.
The ideal candidate will be an expert in infrastructure technology, and serve as the lead contact for sales engagements and contributing valuable inputs to sales proposals. The server infrastructure lead must be a proactive self-starter who will implement best practice and drive continuous improvement.
This is an exciting time for an experienced server engineer to join us as we grow. You will be required to complete a diverse range of projects to improve platforms, security and user experience within the organisation

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the SME for Beeks server infrastructure, providing sizing and specification information for sales proposals and during the design phase of solutions.
• You will have a comprehensive knowledge of Beeks infrastructure products and have the technical expertise to work with vendors on solution options and future product alternatives/roadmaps.
• Compute hardware life cycle management - works procurement on stock and EoL tracking.
• Proactively engage with server vendor technology roadmaps and lifecycle information.
• Designing compute requirements with sales and presales.
• Liaising with project, operational and development teams to ensure infrastructure data accuracy in DCIM.
• Work DC team on space and power requirements and updates in DCIM.
• Work with support teams on operational stability of client compute infrastructure.
