EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years of related experience
- High School Diploma
- Certification of mandatory training in public health and sanitation (Food Handling Permit)
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Operating in an efficient manner while maintaining stringent safety practices
- Strong customer service skills
- Working knowledge of English both verbal and written
- Knowledge of supportive living environments is an asset
NON-TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently (self-managed) with efficiency and with other Associates in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work various shifts (evening and weekends)

Responsibilities:
- Provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for our Residents
- Prepare the dining room, including cleaning and setting up/taking down chairs and tables as needed
- Document reservations received via telephone
- Present the menu, enter orders into the system, and communicate special requests to the culinary team
- Assist the culinary team in preparing and serving simple items (e.g., beverages, toast, oatmeal) and portioning snacks and dessert items
- Serve prepared orders to the Residents
- Attend to the needs of our Residents in the dining room to ensure their comfort and satisfaction
- Prepare and deliver food trays/carts to various floors as needed
- Collect payment for the meal as required
- Assist with dishwashing as needed
- Perform other related tasks as assigned
