REQUIRED SKILLS TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Must have broad based knowledge to service as a reliable consultant and be able to provide up-to-date technical information in response to customer inquiries
- Proper operation, maintenance and care of vehicle
- Ability to identify problem areas and identify its cure
- Must be able to follow global automotive workshop instructions and procedures
Responsibilities:
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
Ensure courteous and professional handling of the customer during the latter’s visit to Bodyshop and prepare estimates that ensure Customer Retention and Profitability.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Execute assigned jobs according to established work standards, specifications and required time
- Maintain the discipline of the service establishment, safe and clean reception area through strict adherence of company rules, regulations and procedures
- Keep up with new technology, work procedures, time standards and relevant technical know-how to maintain or improve work productivity and quality.
- Meet & greet the customer as per Standards & advises customer on necessary repairs and maintenance to formulate the best service plan for their budget and needs
- Provides cost estimate to customers if required & answer question posed by customers
- Explain terms & conditions of Estimate/Repair to customer.
- Prepare work order & after approval assigns technician to perform vehicle body repair for specific damage type
- Maintains electronic and/or paper records of completed service work.
- Inspects work completed by Technicians before delivering vehicle to customer
- Explains the work completed and makes suggestion for future maintenance & provides billing statements and explains billing details to customer
WHAT EQUIPS YOU FOR THE ROLE:
- Technical school / Certificate/ Diploma in Automobile / Mechanical Eng.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a reputed automotive workshop in similar role.
- Knowledge of Body parts and general mechanical components of repair of Body & Paint
