What you will do:

  • Meet and greet customers in a friendly, professional manner, staying focused on the customer’s needs to expedite pick-up and delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized service area.
  • Load and unload repairs safely using appropriate equipment (Forklift, Crane, manual lift).
  • Conduct service intake for the service department, including recording customer contact information, purchase orders, problem descriptions, nameplate information, and urgency of repair.
  • Provide detailed information about repair requirements.
  • Inform the Service or Fabrication Manager of all pertinent information.
  • Enter parts and labor into Windward System 5 for potential repairs.
  • Contact customers with repair estimates for approval.
  • Upon approval, send a picklist to the Order Picker to gather parts for the Service Technician.
  • After repair is completed, enter parts, labor, and technician notes into Windward System 5.
  • Source shop supplies and parts/materials for internal service work orders.
  • Notify the customer upon job completion and obtain a purchase order if not provided at service intake.
  • Complete the monthly open work order report and provide a progress update to the Branch Manager.

What you will bring:

  • Proven experience in customer service or service coordination in an industrial, repair, or similar environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
  • Experience in safely operating warehouse equipment (Forklift, Crane, manual lift) for loading/unloading materials.
  • Ability to accurately document customer and job information, including problem details and repair urgency.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, such as Windward System 5, or similar software for data entry of parts, labor, and service notes.
  • Strong communication skills to relay repair details and updates to customers and internal team members.
  • Experience in estimating and sourcing parts/materials for repairs is an asset.
  • Ability to manage open work orders and provide monthly progress reports.
