As a servicer designer reporting in to General Manager of the Software Business unit you will drive the overall design, requirements gathering and most importantly the customer experience in relation to our Software Portfolio as we continue to invest heavily in solutions that support our growth in Managed Services as well as evolving our long established and successful suite of software solutions specifically solving problems in the education market This role will involve working closely with the Product, Software development, engineering as well as third party resources to rapidly prototype and test new features.
To be successful in this role you will need the ability to work pro-actively to deliver against multiple deadlines. You will gather business intelligence and performance indicators from an array of data sources and share these with the wider teams to help get to actionable design decisions.
RM is transforming into a high-velocity and rapidly evolving business with a start-up attitude, you will need to feel personal ownership for successes, and constantly seek to implement and improve programmes, standards, and operational frameworks to positively impact the achievement of the business.
A background in working on complex subscription SaaS models is desirable.
This role is a stand alone role which requires strong, ownership & delivery. You will be working closely with developers & technical product Manager team who are based in the UK & India. This is a UK based role.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the design thinker across the organisation and facilitate design sprints to solve problems.
  • Collaborate with product managers/product owner, and other stakeholders to define product requirements, user stories, and design specifications that align with business goals and technical capabilities.
  • Design comprehensive service blueprints that outline the interactions between users and the service at each touchpoint
  • Create user journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and other design deliverables to visualize and communicate service concepts, interactions, and workflows.
  • Champion user-centric design principles, accessibility standards, and best practices, advocating for the needs of diverse user groups and ensuring inclusive and ethical design solutions.
  • Creating detailed maps of users journeys to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Talk to users as well as analysing data which in turn will drive future product improvement
  • Create design artefacts that seamlessly integrate with our development process
  • Be the person that creates a user interface that we are all proud of and our customers intuitively use.
  • Rapidly prototype ad test new features

Experience:

You will have proven experience of:

  • Product Design in a fast-paced B2B technology company. Experience in start-ups would be desirable.
  • Proven track record of working in agile, product-led environments with continuous discovery and delivery practices
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your ability to simplify complex workflows and create intuitive user experiences
  • Experience with user research methodologies and the ability to translate insights into design decisions
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with design systems and the ability to contribute to their evolution

You will have:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to plan and manage the delivery of multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as, Adobe Suite, Figma
  • Ability to identify opportunities of value and present the data to support them.
  • Good understanding of the Hyperscaler offerings.
  • A strong sense of personal ownership and passion for operational delivery
  • A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact in the assessment space
