Description:
SERVICE DEVELOPMENT OFFICERS – LOCALITIES AND PLACE
1 x full time (37 hours) permanent post, supporting the Amber Valley team.
Location: Based in/around Alfreton/Amber Valley primarily, some home working
1 x full time (37 hours) permanent post, supporting the Erewash team.
Location: Based in/around Erewash primarily, some home working
1 x full time (37 hours) permanent post, supporting the central team.
Location: Hybrid home working and travel to Matlock primarily.
The Localities and Place public health team works with local partners and communities in each of the 8 boroughs and districts to identify and tackle barriers to improve health and wellbeing through a community focused public health approach.
The team strives to improve the health and wellbeing of our local populations and to reduce inequalities through place-based and community partnership approaches.
Responsibilities:
- Frequent travel in/around your locality area
- Build and maintain relationships with partners and make links across the locality area
- Operationalise locality strategy into delivery with partners
- Be the expert of one geographical area with a depth and breadth of local knowledge
- Operationalise the delivery of the locality work supporting direction/strategy
- Provide the information needed for the Health & Wellbeing meetings
- Provide details/case studies/reports of local work to share across the county
- Have a broad knowledge of the cross-county programmes and feed local information into the work
- Be responsible for managing local monitoring and evaluation
- Provide information for local reports
- Leading some of the local subgroups
