Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Service Director IT, Data, & Digital, you’ll play a pivotal role in Swindon Borough Council’s ambitious digital transformation journey. Leading the Digital, Data, and IT service, you will drive a forward-thinking agenda that aligns technology initiatives with Swindon’s corporate objectives. You’ll oversee critical IT infrastructure, manage complex data architectures, and advance an ambitious digital strategy designed to foster connectivity and enhance the experiences of residents and employees alike.
In this role, you will champion the adoption of AI and new technology solutions, positioning Swindon as an insights-led, digitally progressive council. You’ll lead the newly established Project Management Office, ensuring that digital and data strategies drive efficiency, optimise customer service, and promote workplace connectivity. This role places you at the heart of Swindon’s transformation, empowering you to shape digital futures and make a tangible impact on the community.
