Service Engineer

We are looking for a skilled engineer to join our team in Carlisle. As a service engineer with Scot JCB you will visit a variety of customer sites throughout the area to carry out maintenance, repairs and services on our customers machines to a high standard.
This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise and develop your engineering skills in a varied and interesting role.
Salary: Competitive hourly rate plus overtime and bonus

• Repairing and maintaining machines on customers sites as required to ensure conformance with manufacturer’s specification
• Attending breakdowns and fault finding on machines
• Accurately completing all relevant paperwork daily
• Submitting daily timesheets and job cards
• Accurately ordering your parts and working closely with the parts department
• Working closely with the service supervisor
• Helping to train and mentor apprentice engineers
• Carrying out inspections and repairs of machines at our depot as required - in conformance with manufacturer’s specification and any regulations affecting their use
• Ensuring that there is no deficiency or defect likely to affect the safe working of a machine – and notifying appropriate manager of any defective or unsafe equipment
