The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Service Engineer-Primal on a full-time basis in Tullamarine, Melbourne.
The main responsibility of this role is to effectively service the Australian primal installed base in conjunction with the Lead Service Engineer - Primal and the NZ technical competence centre. This role is to manage and execute machine preventative, upgrade and diagnostic service work and equipment audits for the Primal systems.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Work with the Service Coordinator’s, service planners and the customers to assess and plan primal service interventions, ensuring
  • The most efficient processes are selected and agreed timeframes met or exceeded.
  • Jobs are planned in advance to ensure everything is available to complete tasks without interruption.
  • Efficient and effective use of resources, materials, tools and consumables.
  • Carry out fault finding, both local and remote to diagnose and resolve automation issues;
  • Quality and yield
  • Mechanical assemblies
  • Electrical
  • Vision Systems
  • X-Ray systems
  • Assist the spares team leader as required with maintenance of spares parts, ongoing production, record keeping on spares and inventory.
  • Concise, timely and accurate recording of labour resources, spare parts and consumables used are assigned to correct projects.
  • Ensure quality standards and systems are followed and actions taken are accurately recorded.
  • Components are made to the drawings, specifications and are suitable to end use.

About you:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a relevant role (automation equipment experience highly desired).
  • Fitting experience with proven quality outcomes.
  • Manual machining experience.
  • Understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Fault-finding skills with the ability to make good decisions under pressure.
  • A “can do” attitude, great communication skills and willingness to grow.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel internationally- sometimes at short notice.
  • Have the right to live and work permanently in Australia.
  • Be customer and results focused, have integrity, and be a proven team-player.
  • Competent use the Microsoft Suite, Teams and Simpro (CMMS)
