As Service Integration PMO Manager you will be accountable for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of the Service Integration program/project portfolio to agreed targets, in time, in budget and at quality of functionality, in coordination with internal or 3rd party project execution resources. Responsible for managing the end to end pipeline for Service Integration projects in and acting as the Service Integration Portfolio Lead for the wider PPM capability within HE IT. Responsible for interaction with functional/business unit leadership to monitor, manage and execute the project portfolio that aligns with the overall HE IT PPM business objectives and priorities. Is also responsible for supporting and implementing Project Management and execution methodologies for use throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the Service Integration PMO team and monitors the program/ project portfolio delivery according to agreed targets, identifies potential risks and proposes mitigation actions. Escalation point for issues needing resolution.
  • Ensures the IT programs/IT projects follow and comply with given goals of the IT.
  • Responsible for prioritizing the project portfolio in concert with the IT program/ IT project sponsors based on changing functional needs, resource capacity constraints, risk exposure, and other interdependencies. Responsible to organize the program/project portfolio in the most efficient way. Defines principles and standards to harmonize the Service Integration program/project management methodologies from internal or 3rd party external service providers
  • Ensures the installation / management / maintenance / optimization of internal and cross-functional processes related to IT Service delivery or IT Service demand in relevant area of responsibility. Monitors the delivery of business objectives and customer experience for PMO services. Collaborate with BSTs and Departments to analyze business demand for existing or new IT solutions.
  • Executes, for assigned tasks, all actions in processes according to agreed RACI specification. Communicates status of the project and program portfolio to relevant stakeholders across the business and IT.
  • Proactively drive standardization and harmonization of the Service Integration project landscape.
  • Maintains clear budget and spend information Manages assigned budget effectively and delivers activities within agreed schedules and costs. Identifies cost drivers and optimization potential.
  • Implements, maintains and operates Service Integration portfolio governance, including reporting from all Service Integration Project Managers. Act as escalation point and resolve disputes arising in relation to IT business facing support and infrastructure services.
  • Ensures that investments and initiatives in IT project management services are aligned with business strategy and priorities. Supports the implementation of the IT Strategy for relevant area of responsibility.
  • Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed, in line with both departmental goals and wider HR guidelines (i.e. Diversity). Guides, motivates, and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies, for the benefit of both HE and the employee. Manage direct reports, including performance management, total reward, and development/training.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor`s degree.
  • At least 10 years of experience working in the IT in large global corporations.
  • Proven experience as PMO Manager or similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to lead small teams or projects.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively in geographically dispersed team.
  • Fluent spoken and written English, ability to formulate complex topics in everyday language.
  • ITIL Foundation certificate required.
  • Prince, PMP (preferred).
  • L6S (preferred).
