About the role

The Service Manager for Cloud Security ensures the security, compliance, and cost-efficiency of the organization’s Azure environment. They oversee Azure Compliance Management, conducting audits and enforcing industry standards. This role includes managing Azure Defender for Cloud, responding to security incidents, and collaborating with the security team to implement best practices. Additionally, the Service Manager defines and updates security policies, supports users with compliance and security issues, and provides training. They also work with the Cloud FinOps team to optimize resource usage and cost efficiency, ensuring robust and secure cloud operations.What you’ll be doing

  • Ensure all Azure services and resources comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain compliance documentation and reports.
  • Define, implement, and enforce Azure security standards and benchmarks to ensure secure and efficient cloud operations.
  • Monitor and manage policy adherence across all Azure resources.
  • Continuously evaluate and update policies to adapt to changing business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and manage Azure Defender for Cloud to protect cloud resources from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor security alerts and incidents, and respond to potential threats promptly.
  • Collaborate with the security team to develop and implement security best practices and policy exemptions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for users regarding Azure compliance, policies, and security.
  • Provide guidance and support to users in understanding and adhering to cloud policies and best practices.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions and documentation to educate users on Azure security and compliance.
  • Support Cloud FinOps team in implementing changes on infrastructure to right size resources in scope.

About you

  • 3+ years of experience in IT/Cloud security
  • Experience working with Azure Defender, Azure Security Policies and Cloud Security Posture Management.
  • Experience working in Cloud FinOps deliveries.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess compliance gaps.
  • Leadership skills to work together with product and application managers to build a roadmap for non-compliance remediation.
  • Management skills to cooperate with internal Cloud Engineering team to proactively remediate issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support and train users, as well as collaborate with various teams.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and security policies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or work experience in related field.
  • Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, CISSP, CCSP or other relevant IT Security.
  • Occasional travel, up to 20%.
