Until 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year. In recognition of implementing this temporary measure, those who experience a pay reduction will be awarded three additional days leave (pro rata for part-time).
Responsibilities:
This role will have responsibility for leading and managing the Council’s Child Care Law Service under the direction of the Head of Legal Services. You will deliver high-level guidance and support in relation to child care and related matters at the highest level to Members and Officers of the Council as well as manage a personal caseload of complex work.
As Service Manager (Child Care Law) you will be supported by an In-House Advocate and a Senior Solicitor.

In this role you will make your mark by helping to shape the Service, demonstrating the value that a high quality legal service plays in improving the lives of the people of Rotherham.
