As the ServiceNow Platform Owner, you will have full ownership of the ServiceNow platform, working closely with ICT business partners, junior team members, and external vendors to design and implement solutions that enhance business processes. In this role, you will collaborate with external partners, and serve as the ServiceNow architect, shaping and executing the strategic roadmap for the platform.

The assignment
This position requires strong leadership skills, deep technical expertise in ServiceNow, and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively. You will be responsible for driving the platform’s governance, ensuring its evolution, and implementing new features and improvements within your domain. Acting as a trusted advisor and influencer, you will collaborate closely with both ICT and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions across processes, infrastructure, and software. This means that you will:
- Be the Platform Owner & Architect
- Act as the primary owner and architect of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring its evolution aligns with organizational goals and ICT strategy.
- Define and maintain the platform’s vision, blueprint, and roadmap, including integrating it into the overall IT architecture.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and innovations within the IT sector and ServiceNow ecosystem, proactively identifying opportunities for enhancement.
- Manage ServiceNow specific Governance & Business Demand
- Define, implement, and guard a comprehensive governance process for managing platform enhancements, changes, and demands.
- Act as a key interface with senior business partners, understanding and prioritizing their demands, aligning them with platform capabilities and IT strategy.
- Collaborate & guide
- Provide guidance to a small team, mentoring them to grow in their respective areas.
- Manage team performance, set clear objectives, and support personal growth through coaching and development plans.
- Organize and oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and on-time delivery of ICT projects.
- Manage the relationship with external partners, overseeing functional analysis, development, and architecture design to ensure delivery is aligned with platform goals.
- Collaborate with other ICT stakeholders, including Business Process Owners, Enterprise Architects, and external vendors, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
- Deliver demand & Manage projects
- (Technically) lead and deliver smaller projects or enhancements, ensuring adherence to PMO principles for larger projects.
- Lead internal and external teams through the detailed design and implementation phases, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Define cost-effective, mid-and long-term roadmaps while spotting quick wins to maximize results aligned with strategic goals.
Required knowledge and skills
- Experience in leading small teams
- 3 to 5 years of experience in solution architecture / design in ServiceNow
- Extensive experience in defining template solutions for diverse requirements
- Ability to implement and adapt architecture frameworks to our specific context and content
- Ability to work with key stakeholders to define, formulate and evolve strategic roadmaps and blueprints; and influence both ICT and business leadership through expertise, analysis, leadership and communication / presentation skills
