REPORTS TO: Director of Service
PURPOSE OF POSITION: Senior Service leader that provides effective and engaged leadership across the Fort McMurray Service Center. To manage all aspects of service operations, service sales, and overall service market development for GIW, KSB, and other brands of rotating equipment within the Fort McMurray region. Maintains effective and efficient operation of all aspects within the Service Center in compliance with the Service Center’s ISO procedures. Ensuring that the day-to-day duties are carried out efficiently to meet the demands of the Fort McMurray Service Center Customers. Conduct work activities in a professional manner that reflects positively on the image of the company and conforms to current Health and Safety legislation, upholding GIW Industries Inc. Health and Safety Policy.

Fluent in English (both written and verbal).

Responsibilities:
Leadership and supervision of all service team employees. Plans and directs production and service sales activities and establishes priorities for plant output in keeping with effective operations, established delivery dates, other cost factors and GIW gross margin expectations.
2.Collaborate with new equipment sales leader & team of Key Account Managers to build a best in class local Service, Sales, and Customer Support organization.
Develops region service sales strategies, goals, etc. in conjunction with corporate strategies/goals, facilitates coordination of company processes and communication. Ensures proper coverage of existing markets and those offering growth potential within the region. Manages all aspects of service sales in region. Expands “partnership” relations with customers by aiding in the development of blanket orders, stock programs, service agreements, etc. Furnishes sales market forecasts and other reports/forecasts for the region as required. Interprets and enforces company and safety policies, environmental regulations, goals to employees to ensure compliance, and goal attainment. Manage shop service and field service activities including product inspection, repair, testing, machining, and assembly of rotating equipment and components, including relevant assessment and thorough documentation thereof. Develops and maintains manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, production costs, service related inventory, information systems and financial control. Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and manages data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered. Manages the development and implementation of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs. Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met. Coordinates manufacturing, service and other related activities with all other functions of the KSB SupremeServ and GIW organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of available resources. Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to minimize costs and prevent delays. Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving business data for production, human resources, financial and inventory reports. Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives. Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, permits and regulations. Management of the business information systems and inventory control. (Hardware, software and transactions). Management and control of the business financial transactions and reporting variances to plan. (Operational P&L responsibility). Ensures proper follow-up of all active quotations to obtain quotation status and pursue the close of the sale. Assists product management, order entry, customer service, manufacturing, or shipping with any information required involving orders. Strong mechanical aptitude and rotating equipment background and knowledge. Business acumen – understands financial implications of actions. Other duties may be assigned.
AUTHORITY: Responsible for all Service activities within the Fort McMurray market.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE (minimum required)
EDUCATION: BS Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or equivalent experience. Five (5) years of demonstrated success in shop or plant management preferably within the pump, fluid handling, and/or rotating equipment industry. Knowledge of and familiarity with the mining industry also highly preferred.
