Description:

Wessex Fire & Security are a family run company based in Dorset, with over 40 years’ experience in the Fire & Security business both in domestic and commercial settings. We are seeking an experienced service salesperson to join our team. Due to our continued expansion, we have an exciting opportunity based in and around the Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset, and Wiltshire area dedicated to increasing our portfolio and market share of service contracts and customers in our core geographical area.

Responsibilities:

ROLE:

An organised and experienced service salesperson to cover the designated areas within the region of the south and southwest expanding the business and customer portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the department to new levels by identifying and generating new business within our designated sectors and industries including tender opportunities presented through dedicated business portals, cross selling of products and services, and new marketing campaigns. The role is aimed at supporting and increasing our service contract base on fire and security systems to drive the business to new levels with a clear service revenue growth strategy aimed at increasing our market share in the regions stated.
Successful candidate will have the confidence and ability to work efficiently on their own and as part of a team when required. Liaise with the Managing Director, Service Manager, site engineers, administration and co-ordination teams to gain vital insight and knowledge to promote and maintain the company’s high standards, products and services, and efficiencies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be responsible for identifying and sourcing new leads and customer opportunities to generate new business opportunities to grow the fire and security service contract portfolio within the business.
  • Keep regular contact with internal sales teams to monitor the live database of portals for new tender opportunities and complete thorough submissions within designated timescales.
  • Approach previous customers of the business and operate a win back campaign to regain previous market share.
  • Aim to cross sell our services and disciplines across our current client base where possible to increase return per site.
  • Work with our marketing teams to build new opportunities and promotions to enhance sales.
  • Be dynamic and innovative with your approach to enhance potential opportunities.
  • Plan, develop and produce across all aspects of the role delivering an individual ability to structure area plans and conduct effective sales calls and meetings with customers.
  • Present and negotiate sales proposals and plans with a key focus on accurate delivery of the business and services offered including maintenance contract compliance and legislation.
  • Manage personal diary bookings and meetings to deliver structured work tasks and patterns whilst remaining on target with tracked sales delivery.
  • Compile and submit weekly/monthly pipeline reports of sales forecasts and orders received so measurement against annual targets can be viewed.
  • Proactively work with other sales channels within the business to maximize opportunities to new and existing customers.
  • Attend in house and external training courses when required.
